IPPE 2022 successfully culminated and the Latin American Poultry Summit and IPSF forums were protagonists.
IPPE 2022: a successful edition
The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), the poultry industry’s largest trade show, is coming to a successful conclusion. This important event brought together the world’s major companies dedicated to the processing and livestock industry for three days in January.
Three commercial fairs related to the agricultural and animal feed sector were held at the IPPE: the International Meat Expo, the International Poultry Expo, and the International Feed Expo.
IPPE organizers worked on the logistics of the event to ensure maximum biosecurity measures for all attendees who came from worldwide. Nearly 1121 exhibitors participated in the event in 500,000 square feet of exhibition space.
Organizers reported that IPPE 2022 exceeded expectations with more than 22,000 registered attendees. Of these attendees, 21% were international. Of these visitors from other countries, Latin American participants were the protagonists, registering more than 51% of participation.
Biovet participated in the IPSF attached to IPPE 2022
The International Poultry Science Forum (IPSF) was part of IPPE 2022 to discuss topics of interest on the health of poultry production. These topics included nutrition, physiology, environmental management, pathology, and poultry diseases.
The IPSF was held on January 24 and 25 with a series of scientific conferences. Among these conferences, Dr. David Díez from Biovet S.A. gave a lecture on “Natural prevention of coccidiosis and necrotic enteritis in broilers”.
This conference addressed the impact of these two infectious diseases in poultry farming. In addition, the talk showed innovative proposals for the prevention of these pathologies through Biovet S.A. products, which are based on pronutrients and cimenol ring, which are active molecules that come from plant extracts.
Finally, the conference showed the results of a field trial where the effects of pronutrients in the prevention of coccidiosis were evaluated, as well as the effects of cimenol ring in the prevention of necrotic enteritis.
Latin American Poultry Summit was the protagonist
The Latin American Poultry Summit organized by the Latin American Poultry Association (ALA) was held at the IPPE. This summit was held on January 24 and its theme was “A look at poultry farming today and tomorrow: challenges and answers”. The event brought together researchers and business leaders to discuss issues of great importance for the poultry sector in Latin America. Among the topics discussed were the realities of the region, technical issues on production and processing, among others.
