Δ‘Labs, the International Laboratory Network specialized in diagnosis laboratories for pathology and vets analysis, has implemented diagnostic by images, among its services. In this way, producers of poultry, swine, aquaculture and ruminants can send photographs of necropsies, with a brief description of the problem and receive a quick “presumptive diagnosis” with recommendations. It is the first laboratory that has available this new service, a great help for farms.

DIAGNOSIS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Once the images have been received, the Δ’Labs experts will make a diagnosis. Responsible from Δ’Labs emphasized that, depending on the pathology, the diagnosis will be “definitive if a pathognomonic lesion is found”, meaning that it makes the diagnosis irrefutable.

Otherwise, if the diagnosis is presumptive, recommendations will be sent to the producers. Those will include changes in management or feeding or even resorting to other specific diagnostic techniques, advised according to the opinion of the experts. In all cases, users of this service will receive a report that will help in the treatment and prevention of the pathology in question.
