On June 25th 2009 at the hall of the Sonora Institute of Technology was signed a cooperation agreement between this institution and Biovet, S.A. This event was attended by Dr. Gonzalez Rodriguez Villanueva (ITSON rector) and Dr. Jaime Borrell (president of Biovet, S.A.)

Dr. Gonzalez Rodríguez stressed the importance of signing this agreement as it will permit BIOVET – ITSON to commerce specific research in the agricultural sector.

Dr. Jaime Borrell thanked ITSON for the opportunity to collaborate in investigation developments in biotechnology areas, nutritional and health animal, stressing the aim to develop new molecules obtained from fungi and plants, as well as pronutrients in animal food and veterinary vaccines that will constitute agreements of specific technologic transference soon.

The event was attended by Dr. Luciano Castro, Dra. Laura Gassós, Dra. Ma Isabel Estrada and Dr. Alejandro Fragoso representing the University, Dr. Eleazar Mayoral as Biovet – Alquermes representative in México, university media and Local Press from Ciudad Obregón.

After the signature of the agreement, they visited the main premises of biotechnology and animal health area, as well as meetings with different teams of investigators.
