An alliance between the Colombian Federation of Aquaculture Producers (Fedeacua) and ProColombia will make it possible to grant this seal to fish producers. The function of this distinction will be to certify production processes in the fish farming sector that meet the requirements. To qualify, producers must comply with Colombian and international regulations.

The main destination for these exports was the United States, especially Miami. Other destinations were Peru and Ecuador in Latin America, and Spain and the United Kingdom in Europe.
