Pronutrients had an important role in Biovet’s International Symposium for Asia, which was held in Bangkok on March 17^th. 

Biovet presented the concept of pronutrients to all the assistants (customers, distributors and professors): biomolecules with a botanical origin, derived from shikimic acid, which, through a metagenetic mechanism, selectively stimulate the production of specific proteins and improve the physiology of the organs.

Biovet S.A. has carried out research in this new technology, which allows a reduction of the use of chemical additives in animal production, while improving food safety and maintaining productive performance in fish and poultry farms.

In the event, the mechanism of action and recent trials carried out with pronutrients-based products were presented:

Alquernat Immuplus, a natural immunebooster that promotes the activity of the specific and unspecific animal’s immune systems. Dr. Anna Tesouro, from Biovet S.A., expained this product’s mechanism of action, and Prof. Yu, from the Fujian Forestry and Agriculture University, presented the results of an in vivo trial of Alquernat Immuplus in pigs.

Alquernat Zycox, a natural intestinal optimizer effective against coccidiosis, was also presented in this occasion, which breaks coccidia’s reproductive cycle during the first stage of their cycle. After an introduction by Dra. Tesouro, MH Rahman presented an in vivo trial of Alquernat Zycox carried out in Bangladesh Agricultural University.

Lastly, Alquernat Nebsui was presented. It is an intestinal conditioner that facilitates the growth of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract and, at the same time, inhibits the proliferation of pathogens, improves nutrients absorption, optimizes digestion and replaces AGPs. In this case, Dr. Anna Tesouro explained the mechanism of action and the in vivo trials were presented Prof. Yu.
