Biovet S.A. will exhibit at VIV Asia 2019 in Bangkok
“From feed to food for Asia”, the event will be a meeting point for animal producers in the continent

Biovet S.A. Laboratories will present its latest developments at VIV Asia in Bangkok, which will be held on March the 13th until the 15th at Thai capital’s International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC). On this occasion, the company will participate in the event with a stand located at booth number H105.1111. Biovet team will also hold a conference on pronutrients, plant origin molecules designed to improve animal physiology and optimize productive parameters.
Attendees who visit Biovet’ s stand will obtain precise information on the latest natural additives developed by its R + D + i department, such as mycotoxin binders, natural deodorizers and preservatives, and intestinal-conditioning pronutrients.
Avoiding feed contamination with mycotoxin binders
Mycotoxins are fungi-secreted toxins that can cause considerable negative side effects on animal production productivity. Moreover, these can reach humans either directly –through the intake of contaminated food –, or indirectly – through the consumption of animal products.
Biovet’s mycotoxin binder, Alquerfeed Antitox, is designed to effectively ensure food safety and avoid the negative effects of feed contamination. The objective of this product is to bind mycotoxins and prevent them from being absorbed by the animal. Thus, these toxins are prevented from entering the food chain.
Reduction of ammonia concentrations with a natural deodorizer
Ammonia (NH3) is a toxic gas produced, mainly, by bacteria present in animals’ digestive tract and faeces. Among other negative consequences, it may cause irritation of the respiratory tract and, therefore, an increase in the susceptibility to infections. Ammonia is a usual concern in intensive livestock farms, since high concentrations in the environment can reach harmful levels for animal health.
Using the natural deodorizer Alquernat Yucca, with Yucca spp. extract, is recommended for an optimal environmental control of farms. It incorporates cimenol ring as an active ingredient and works as a nutritional supplement with a greater antimicrobial activity that notably reduces ammonia in animal production facilities.
Nutrient absorption increases with intestinal conditioners
Intestinal-conditioning pronutrients, marketed under the name of Alquernat Nebsui, are a real alternative to Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGP). Its regenerative effect on enterocytes helps optimizing animal nutrition, thanks to the improvement of the digestive mucosa and a with increase of the intestinal villi. With the use of intestinal conditioners animal nutrient absorption increases and productivity is optimized.
Biovet conference at VIV Asia 2019
Biovet team will conduct an informative conference on the functioning and applications of natural additives, such as pronutrients, supported with data extracted in in vitro and in vivo experiments.
This will be the case of the preservative Alquermold Natural, with bactericidal and fungicidal properties, designed to be added on raw materials and animal feed. It combines cimenol ring and citric acid as active ingredients and can be used as an intestinal biocide, as it promotes the balance of the digestive flora and prevents the proliferation of pathogens, such as Salmonella, E. coli, Clostridium and Staphylococcus, among others.
