Biovet S.A. will present a poster in the World Poultry Congress in Paris

Biovet S.A. will present, in online format, the poster ‘Natural control of Clostridium perfringens in broilers with cimenol ring‘ at the World Poultry Congress, which will be held from August 7 to 11 in Paris. This year the event will be held in a hybrid way, and it will be possible to participate in face-to-face format (Palais de Congrès) or online.

Clostridium perfringens is a microorganism that multiplies in the digestive tract of birds and causes great economic losses in farms worldwide. In the trial to be presented, the effect of Alquermold Natural, a product developed by Biovet S.A., for the control of Clostridium perfringens in broilers was evaluated.

The results showed that the product can improve the productive parameters and the mortality rate of the birds, and in addition, the incidence of lesions usually caused by Clostridium perfringens in the intestine was reduced.

Alquermold Natural is a natural antimicrobial that prevents the appearance of pathogenic microorganisms, while not affecting beneficial ones, such as Lactobacillus. In addition, it is a natural product, so its use is safe, it does not create resistance and does not require withdrawal period.
