Mexico’s National Swine Farmers Congress will be held in May 2022 and will feature multiple guests and keynote lectures.

Mexico’s National Swine Congress, Opormex, will be held from May 4 to 7, 2022. This important event created by the Organization of Mexican Pig Farmers (OPORMEX) will be held at the Convention Center of the Barceló Maya Beach/ Caribe and Barceló Maya Riviera Hotel.

On this occasion, the slogan of Opormex 2022 is “forging the Mexican pig farming model”. For this reason, the congress expects the attendance of approximately 50 companies and 1,400 attendees interested in the swine and agricultural sector.

This 4-day event will include keynote speeches and conferences. These academic and business spaces will be held from 9 am to 4 pm. Afterward, a closing ceremony will be held each day and the rest of the day will be spent in recreational events and meals characterized by pork-based gastronomy.

In addition, during the congress, there will be time for visitors to visit the stands of the different companies participating in the commercial area.

The 2021 edition of Opormex featured different virtual activities. The COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult to organize face-to-face events in the pig farming sector in Mexico. However, different virtual activities were led to keep the swine sector businessmen and producers connected. Thanks to this and a favorable health evolution in Mexico, the 2022 edition of Opormex will be held in person.
