Less than 50 days to go until the start of the National Pig Farmers Congress of Mexico Opormex 2022. The slogan for this version is “Forging the Mexican pig farming model”. This congress will last 4 days, starting on May 4 and ending on May 7. The guest of honor for this edition will be Spain.

The president of the Mexican Pig Farmers Organization, Dr. Heriberto Hernández Cárdenas, mentioned months ago that this Opormex 2022 will have great challenges. On the one hand, it is an opportunity to reunite the swine sector after the pandemic that affected the world and Mexico. In addition, it motivated small, medium, and large pig farmers to take part in this event that brings together the entire Mexican pork industry. In this way, the congress seeks to share solutions to improve the efficiency of pig farms located in Mexico in the global market.

This edition is expected to be attended by more than 1,400 people and 50 companies during the 4 days of the event. In addition, there will be keynote lectures on topics of interest to the swine farming sector in Mexico and Latin America.

The Mexican National Pig Farmers Congress Opormex 2022 will be held at the Barceló Complex, Riviera Maya, 70 km from Cancun Airport. This fairground will have two hotels to provide lodging services to the congress attendees, the Barceló Maya Beach/Caribbean, and the Barceló Maya Riviera.
