Biovet S.A. patents its natural immune booster Alquernat Immuplus
This natural additive is designed to enhance the immune system and mitigating the appearance of infections in animal production
Biovet S.A. obtained the patent for its natural immune booster additive Alquernat Immuplus, on April 15 2019. This product made of plant extracts is manufactured in both pre-mix and oral solution, and is rich in pronutrients with immunostimulant action.
Pronutrients are organic molecules that regulate and stimulate animal physiology without a pharmacological effect, thus, becoming an essential immune boosting tool against prevalent infections found in animal production. In the case of Alquernat Immuplus, its use is recommended to increase the effectiveness of vaccines since it strengthens animal health and, therefore, it has positive effect on productive and economic parameters.
Global demand emerging from both legislation and consumers for the elimination of substances hitherto used in animal production, has inspired Biovet S.A. in the development a natural alternative. Amongst the aforementioned substances, antibiotic growth promoters (AGP) and chemical coccidiostats are the most prominent, which generate resistance and leave residues in animal organisms and their products.
Alquernat Immuplus: better immune response to immunosuppressive diseases
Alquernat Immuplus is a natural product designed for poultry and swine producers. It is innocuous, it does not create resistance and it leaves no residue. This natural immunostimulant can be administered to young and adult animals, improving the effectiveness of their immune system and significantly reducing mortality. The immune response to immunosuppressive pathologies has been proven in cases such as Gumboro disease, Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis, among others. In addition, its use helps preventing frequent antibiotic treatments and is recommended to improve the response to vaccination.
Pronutrients are introduced into the animal’s organism and act by binding and activating gene expression, which induces the production of proteins by ribosomes. Pronutrients’ target cells are those that stimulate the specific and non-specific activity of the immune system.
