Biovet S.A. Laboratories awarded the prizes of 2015 during the XXVII International Symposium held in Tarragona from 8 to 9 April.

Dr. John T. Brake and dr. Coltin Caraway, University of North Carolina received the award for product development. This award was granted for field trials conducted by two researchers with the product Alquernat Nebsui as a growth promoter alternative to antibiotics.

Moreover, it has also given the commercial prize to the Dr. Heiner Hernandez from Costa Rica. This award was recognition of the commercial work of the Dr. Heiner Hernandez in his area, especially for promotion of Alquernat line.

The awards ceremony was held at the Chamber of Commerce of Tarragona coinciding with the International Symposium Biovet, the awards were delivered by Dr. Josep Canadell from the College of Veterinarians of Tarragona.

Convened Awards 2016

Following the same objective of promoting research and commercial support, Biovet S.A. Laboratories has already announced open the awards 2016 to researchers, commercials and distributors.

The categories of product development, research or commercial can be submitted until 29 November 2016. The winning studies will be presented at the International Symposium to be held in Tarragona during 2017. In addition, selected projects will be published in the popular science blog – Veterinary Digital.
