Biovet S.A. will chair the Chamber of Commerce of Tarragona for the next four years. This was approved unanimously by the Plenary of the Chamber on May 16, 2019. The company represents the chemical and pharmaceutical sector and Mrs. Laura Roigé Pons will be the president of the organization, representing Biovet S.A.

During the meeting, Biovet’s chairman Dr. Jaime Borrell congratulated Mrs. Roigé and expressed his confidence in her management plans based on the following lines: promoting the international expansion of small and medium sized businesses (SMB) through training and technological support; stimulating the collaboration between universities and SMB; updating production facilities and promoting international certifications; promoting the improvement of transportation infrastructure such as railway, sea port and airport both for goods and people; promoting quality cultural tourism; stimulating the agro-food quality control of imported products; stimulating training and improving health and dependent care systems.

In addition, the Management team will promote measures to collaborate and cooperate with other Chambers of Commerce, with the aim to improve both legislation and their funding. In that sense, consensus with large corporations and members of the Chamber will be also established. Through foundations, they will promote education, health, housing and security in the region.

One of the bases of this new period will be to maintain effective communication with the media. It will be the will of the Chamber to establish weekly communication with newspapers, digital platforms, radios and television networks to be able to report on the actions carried out by the institution.

In conclusion, all measures aim to work with the companies that make up the Chamber in order to defend the general interest and prosperity of companies and society.
