Use of cimenol for pathogenic microorganisms control in the gut

In a study conducted in Mexico, a product based on cimenol was tested at different concentrations to prove its effectiveness against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella spp.

Conclusions

Cimenol-based product reduced pathogen contamination between 99.891 and 99.925% in the case of Salmonella spp., and more than 99.99% in the cases of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, even when applied at a dose of 50 ppm.
