Enzyme deficiency and necrotic enteritis

Certain enzyme deficiencies can cause problems in feed digestibility and absorption, which is the substratum for microorganisms. In the case of protease deficiencies, there is undigested protein in the intestinal lumen, which favors the growth of Clostridium and leads to necrotic enteritis.
