Avian hepatitis

Avian hepatitis: This pathology is very frequent in poultry. Some Enterobacteriaceae can cross the intestinal barrier and reach the liver, where they cause hepatitis and degenerative processes and inflammation can be observed. It is common to isolate more than one microorganism, as in the case of this image, where Streptococcus, E. coli and Salmonella were isolated. The damage on the liver leads to poor productive performance and immunosuppression.
