Hepatic aflatoxicosis in goats

Aflatoxin B1 causes hepatomegaly and alterations in the liver function. Specifically, the ingestion of this mycotoxin in concentrations of 80 µg/kg of feed for 50 days, as in the attached clinical case, causes these lesions, as well as an increase in the excretion of aflatoxin M1 in milk, with negative impact on human health.
