Fatty liver in laying hens
The Fatty Liver Disease in laying birds also called hepatic lipidosis or fatty liver degeneration and can be studied in two clinical forms:
Fatty liver syndrome and fatty liver hemorrhagic syndrome.
It consists of an accumulation of lipids in the liver, and increase liver size, related to the installation conditions, the energy level of the food, the level of production and its relationship with the hepatic metabolism.
As you can see in the picture, in the majority of cases, it is accompanied by accumulation of abdominal fat and overweight of the birds.
