Coccidiosis by E. acervulina and enteritis in broilers: This Eimeria species develops in duodenum, where it causes lesions that, despite the fact that they do not markedly increase mortality, produce a notable deterioration in productive performance. It is common to observe associated enteritis of different degrees, with inflammation and hemorrhagic or congestive areas in the intestinal mucosa.
