Use of Silicoglycidol against a synthetic oxide silicate as a mycotoxin-binder in broilers

Silicoglycidol is a mycotoxin-binder molecule patented by Biovet S.A., which presents a wide spectrum of action due to its effectiveness against all types of mycotoxins.
Objective
Comparison of Silicoglycidol with a synthetic oxide silicate in a broilers farm in Hebei province, China.
Methodology
was Animals were a mix of “arbor acres” males and females.
The studied parameters were: body weight, survival rate, feed conversion rate, age, efficiency index and economic profits.
Results
The use of Silicoglycidol provides the following advantages:
–         Body weight: increased by 10.24%
–         Survival rate: increased by 2.7%
–         Saving feed: increased by 3.56%
–         Efficiency index: improved by 11.68%
–         Economic profit: improved by 33.83%
Conclusions
The use of Silicoglycidol improved body weight, survival rate, feed savings and, consequently, the economic profit.
Silicoglycidol is available as Alquerfeed Antitox (Silicoglycidol alone), Alquerfeed Binmold and Alquerfeed Asinol (silicoglycidol combined with feed preservatives) and Alquerfeed Antitox Plus (Silicoglycidol combined with probiotics).
