Digestive mycosis in broiler

It is common to find lesions in the corneal layer of the gizzard, and there are several causes that produce them. Some acid-resistant filamentous fungi, such as Aspergillus, Fusarium or Penicillium, can produce small superficial erosions in the corneal layer. From this erosions on, the fungi produce hyaline filaments between the corneal and muscular layers of the gizzard.
