Coccidiosis by E. tenella: In brolier, coccidiosis caused by this species of Eimeria is characterized by depressed animals, with bloody diarrhoea and high mortality. This type of coccidia multiplies in the ceca, where it produces deep lesions in the intestinal epithelium, causing haemorrhages, as the observed in this clinical case.
