Rabbit’s hepatic coccidiosis

Rabbits’ hepatic coccidiosis is caused by Eimeria stiedai’s infestation. Ooquists infest the epithelial cells of the biliary ducts, causing alterations in biliary secretion and, therefore, lower fat digestibility, which the liver tries to overset with hepatomegaly.
