Hydrosalpingitis in broilers

Some strains of infectious bronchitis virus affect the reproductive system. In broiler these strains cause oviduct inflammation, and in female broilers they cause hydrosalpingitis. It is usual to find infected birds at an early age, despite the birds being vaccinated. This occurs when birds are infected by field strains
