Glässer disease: it is a septicemic infectious disease that causes polyserositis (fibrinous inflammation of the serous membranes: peritoneum, pleura, pericardium, joints), affecting the swine industry. In field, lameness, pneumonia, growth problems and even high mortality are the main signs observed. At necropsy, these fibrinous infiltrates are frequently observed along with the polyserositis, such as in the pericardium, in the case of the image.
