Sarcoptic mange in rabbits
Scabies is a parasitic disease that affects the skin of rabbits. The anatomical location and the causative agent can distinguish two types of mange: Sarcoptic and psoroptic.
Sarcoptic mange is caused by Sarcoptes scabiei, it affects nose, paws and ears, while psoroptic is because of Psoroptes communis and affects into the pinna. It is also important to know that sarcoptic mange affects animals and humans.
