Management
1. On the table a cage with a nightingale.
2. Four people werer sitting around him.
3. The first of them said: “I will kill the nightingale if he doesn’t sing on time”.
4. Another one answered: “I will force him to sing for me”.
5. A third exposed his intention: “I will wait until he want to sing”.
6. And the last one proposed: “Let’s free the nightingale”.
7. After a meditative silence
8. The first of them replicated: “If he does not fulfill his duty, he does not deserve freedom”
9. The second added: “We have fed him and taken care of him, he must reward us before we release him”
10. The third of them justified his intention: “Patience is the basis for a long life”.
11. The last one reaffirmed: “The nightingale does not belong to us even if we have taken care of him”.
12. It is essential for each one to think what position they would adopt regarding to the nightingale: kill him, force him, wait, release him or any other position not exposed in this story. It is also essential for each one to search for the true reason that has driven him to decide on one position or another.
13. Once the above have been done (choice of position and its justification) it is necessary to check it under some circumstances:
13.1. The nightingale’s females do not sing
13.2. The nightingale is sick
13.3. In autumn, no nightingale sings
13.4. The nightingale is ungrateful
13.5. The nightingale has been promised a better cage and provokes to be free
13.6. The nightingale despises the care that have been given and believes that he has the right to have a better life
13.7. The nightingale does not sing because he believes is a eagle
13.8. Other circumstances
14. Obseve, consider all the options, choose, ask yourself the reasons for the choice, contrast the choise with natural and cultural circumstances of the nightingale.
