Bursitis by IBV, Gumboro

Gumboro is a disease caused by an RNA virus belonging to the genus Avi Birnavirus of the family Birnaviridae. The most representative lesion is the presence of petechiae on the Fabricio bag (organ of the exclusive immune system of birds), atrophied Fabricius pouch and whitish diarrhea. One of the most frequent vectors of this virus is Alphitobius diaperinus.
